Kárný a pracovní tábor v Letech u Písku

Abstract

Anotace: Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o kárném a pracovním táboře v Letech u Písku, který byl později přejmenován na sběrný tábor a následně se stal táborem romským. Tábor byl zřízen během nacistické okupace v protektorátu Čechy a Morava. V tomto táboře zahynuly stovky Romů na tyfus a to hlavně z důvodu špatných hygienických podmínek, které jim česká protektorátní vláda a vedení tábora nedokázaly umožnit. Tato práce se nezabývá pouze historií tábora, ale také událostmi po jeho zániku, především dlouholetým nezájmem, kdy se na tábor absolutně zapomnělo. Summary: This bachelor's thesis deals with disciplinary and labor camp in Lety by Pisek, which was later renamed the transit camp and then became a gypsy camp. The Camp was established during the Nazi occupation in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. In this camp, hundreds of Roma died of typhus, mainly due to poor hygienic conditions, which the Czech government and the Czech guard could not provide them. This work covers not only the history of the camp, but also the events after the end of the camp. With a lack of long disinterest, the camp has been completely forgotten. Furthermore, it discusses the later establishment of the monument, the following ceremonies and interminable argument about the pig farm, which was established at this place later on.
