Anna Orcígrová Abstrakt Cílem diplomové práce s názvem "Saturace potřeb seniorů prostřednictvím muzikoterapie" je ukázat některé z možností v oblasti muzikoterapie se seniory. Text se skládá ze dvou hlavních částí. První část představuje koncept potřeb jakožto součást teorie motivace lidského chování a prožívání prostřednictvím teorií vybraných autorů. Po definování procesu stárnutí a období stáří a stručném vymezení muzikoterapie se pak zaměřuje na potřeby seniorů, kterým se věnuje nejprve v obecné rovině, následně pak se zaměřením na potřeby seniorů žijících v zařízeních dlouhodobé péče a potřeby seniorů s demencí. Poslední kapitola první části se již zaobírá možnostmi saturace potřeb seniorů prostřednictvím muzikoterapie, nejprve obecně, posléze v kontextu práce se seniory žijícími v zařízeních dlouhodobé péče a se seniory trpícími demencí. Druhá část obsahuje případovou studii, která popisuje konkrétní muzikoterapeutickou činnost autorky práce se skupinou seniorů v jednom z domovů pro seniory. V závěrečné diskusi jsou poznatky z první a druhé části práce vzájemně porovnávány.

Anna Orcígrová Abstract The aim of the diploma thesis "Satisfying the needs of seniors provided by music therapy" is to show some of the possibilities in the field of music therapy with the elderly. The text consists of two main parts. The first part presents the concept of the needs by presenting some of the theories of human motivation. After defining the human aging process and the developmental stage of the old age an after brief introduction of music therapy it focuses on the needs of the elderly, first in general, then with a view to the needs of elderly individuals living in long-term care facilities and the needs of elderly individuals in dementia care. The last chapter of the first part deals with the possibilities of satisfying the needs of seniors by means of music therapy, first in general, then in context of working with the elderly living in long-term facilities and in context of dementia care. The second part contains a case study which presents the author's music therapy activity with a group of seniors in a nursing home.
