Život a dílo Michaila Čechova v kontextu vývoje ruského dramatického umění

Abstract

The thesis analyzes the historical development of Russian drama and it also discusses various acting techniques and their development. It focuses on efforts to create a method or system of acting which would help the actors perform characters in a natural and persuasive way. In this context, the thesis deals with Mikhail Chekhov - actor, director, theater director, teacher, theorist of acting, but also a Russian emigrant or nephew of Anton Pavlovich Chekhov. Chekhov was a student of K. S. Stanislavsky. He worked in the Moscow art theatre and later founded and participated in the work of theatre studios in Europe and the United States of America. He dedicated a substantial part of his life to pedagogical and theoretical work. Práce analyzuje vývoj ruského dramatického umění a dále se zabývá různými hereckými technikami a jejich vývojem. Soustředí se na snahy vytvořit hereckou metodu nebo systém, které by pomáhaly hercům osvojit si přirozeně a přesvědčivě postavy, které hrají. V tomto kontextu práce představuje osobnost Michaila Čechova - herce, režiséra, ředitele divadla, pedagoga, teoretika herectví, ale také ruského emigranta nebo synovce Antona Pavloviče Čechova. Čechov byl žákem K. S. Stanislavského, působil v Moskevském uměleckém divadle, později sám založil nebo se spolupodílel na činnosti divadelních studií v Evropě i Spojených státech amerických.
