Libreto versus divadelní hra s využitím textu Karla Čapka Věc Makropulos

Abstract

V diplomové práci jsem se pokusila doložit shodné rysy dramatu a libreta. Využila jsem k tomu text dramatu Věc Makropulos Karla Čapka a text libreta Věc Makropulos Leoše Janáčka. Cílem bylo představit nejen shodné dramatické rysy, ale také specifické postupy libretistické praxe, kterých musel Janáček využít při přepracování Čapkovy hry v operní libreto. Ukázalo se, že dramatické prvky se projevují v libretu především v rovině struktury, libretistické potom v oblastech týkajících se děje, charakterizace postav a vyjádření vztahů mezi postavami. Rozborem byly potvrzeny úvodní hypotézy.

We compare the features of drama and libretto, based on the text The Makropulos Affair by Karel Čapek (drama) and Leoš Janáček (libretto). We would like to show not only common dramatic features, but also the specific librettist features, which Janáček used by transformation Čapek's drama into opera libretto. We demonstrated, that dramatic features are in libretto at the level of structure and the specific librettist features are at the level of story, single figures and its constellation. The analysis confirmed the preliminary hypotheses.
