Sourozenectví s osobou s mentálním postižením z pohledu intaktních sourozenců

Abstract

Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem sourozenectví s osobou s mentálním postižením z perspektivy dospělých intaktních sourozenců. Cílem práce bylo prozkoumat, jak dospělí intaktní sourozenci prožívají sourozenectví s osobou s mentálním postižením, zejména ve vztahu ke každodennímu životu, roli v rodině a dalším oblastem jejich života. Teoretická část práce vymezuje sourozenectví jako významný dlouhodobý mezilidský vztah a zaměřuje se na specifika sourozenectví s osobou s mentálním postižením, postavení intaktního sourozence v rodině, jeho potřeby a možnosti podpory. Empirická část je založena na kvalitativním výzkumu realizovaném prostřednictvím polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s dospělými intaktními sourozenci osob s mentálním postižením. Získaná data byla analyzována pomocí interpretativní fenomenologické analýzy. Výsledky ukázaly, že sourozenectví s osobou s mentálním postižením představuje komplexní životní zkušenost, která zasahuje do různých oblastí života intaktních sourozenců. V dětství informanti své sourozenectví většinou nevnímali jako výrazně odlišné od sourozeneckých vztahů svých vrstevníků. This diploma thesis focuses on sibling relationships with a person with an intellectual disability from the perspective of adult non-disabled siblings. The aim of the thesis was to explore how adult non-disabled siblings experience having a sibling with an intellectual disability, particularly in relation to everyday life, their role within the family, and other areas of their lives. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the sibling relationship as an important long-term interpersonal relationship and focuses on the specific characteristics of sibling relationships involving a person with an intellectual disability, the position of the non-disabled sibling within the family, their needs, and possibilities for support. The empirical part is based on qualitative research conducted through semi-structured interviews with adult non-disabled siblings of people with an intellectual disability. The collected data were analyzed using interpretative phenomenological analysis. The results showed that having a sibling with an intellectual disability represents a complex life experience that affects various areas of non-disabled siblings' lives.
