This diploma thesis explores the issue of materiality in contemporary art and its reflection in the didactics of art education. In the era of digital media, it emphasizes the irreplaceable role of haptic experience and bodily engagement for authentic artistic expression. The theoretical framework is based on the concept of the "material turn", which views matter not as a passive medium, but as an active partner possessing its own autonomy. The aim of the thesis is to examine the relationship between material properties and the creative process, and to apply these findings to art education lessons. The research traces how material brings to presence contents that are difficult to grasp verbally, such as ancestral memory, identity, or emotionally intense situations. Methodologically, the text relies on the analysis of works by selected artists (e.g., M. Abakanowicz, L. Bourgeois, J. Kim and others) and on the method of art-based research within the author's own creative practice using organic materials. The acquired findings are transformed into a series of educational units designed for secondary vocational art schools. The results of the thesis demonstrate how conscious engagement with materials can be integrated into art lessons to deepen students' self-reflection and artistic self-expression,...
