Kniha života v reminiscenční terapii jako nástroj podpory vztahů seniorů s demencí

Abstract

Diplomová práce se zabývá využitím knih života v reminiscenční terapii jako nástroje podpory vztahů seniorů s demencí s jejich rodinou a pečovateli v pobytovém zařízení. Hlavním cílem práce je zjistit, jak práce s knihou života ovlivňuje vztahy seniorů s demencí s jejich rodinou (členem rodiny) a s pečovateli v pobytovém zařízení. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a část výzkumnou. Teoretická část je členěna na tři kapitoly, které se věnují specifikům seniorského věku, vymezení demence a reminiscenční terapii. Výzkumná část je realizována formou akčního výzkumu. Data byla získána prostřednictvím polostrukturovaných rozhovorů se seniory s demencí, jejich rodinnými příslušníky a pečovateli. Součástí výzkumu byla také tvorba tří knih života. Výsledky naznačují, že práce s knihami života může podpořit komunikaci a společné vzpomínání mezi seniory s demencí, jejich rodinou a pečovateli. Zároveň může přispět k lepšímu porozumění životnímu příběhu seniora a podpořit individualizovaný přístup v péči. Výzkum zároveň poukázal na některé limity využívání tohoto nástroje v praxi, zejména časovou náročnost, omezené časové možnosti pečovatelů a potřebu podpory ze strany vedení zařízení. The diploma thesis deals with the use of life books in reminiscence therapy as a tool for supporting relationships of seniors with dementia with their family members and caregivers in a residential facility. The main aim of the thesis is to find out how working with a life book influences the relationships of seniors with dementia with their family members and caregivers in a residential facility. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a research part. The theoretical part is divided into three chapters, which deal with the specifics of old age, the definition of dementia and reminiscence therapy. The research part is carried out in the form of action research. Data were obtained through semi-structured interviews with seniors with dementia, their family members and caregivers. The research also included the creation of three life books. The results suggest that working with life books can support communication and shared remembering between seniors with dementia, their family members and caregivers. At the same time, it can contribute to a better understanding of the senior's life story and support an individualized approach in care.
