Abstract

The bachelor's thesis focuses on the issue of partnership among parents of children with physical and multiple disabilities. The theoretical part first outlines the fundamental characteristics of physical and multiple disabilities. Subsequently, it introduces the concept of relationship satisfaction, including its definition, influencing factors (determinants), and methods of its assessment. The final and key chapter of the theoretical section summarizes the specific aspects of parenting a child with physical or multiple disabilities in relation to the parental partnership. The empirical part of the thesis is based on qualitative research. The aim of the research section is to examine the impact of having a child with physical or multiple disabilities on the relationship satisfaction of the parents. The study primarily focuses on identifying areas that parents perceive as problematic within their partnership. The results indicate an overall decline in relationship satisfaction among parents of children with physical and multiple disabilities. Specific problematic areas were identified, such as the process of coping with the situation, reduced communication, feelings of guilt and inferiority, mental and practical isolation of both partners, financial difficulties, and a lack of free time. Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na oblast partnerství rodičů dětí s tělesným a kombinovaným postižením. V teoretické části jsou nejprve vymezeny základní charakteristiky tělesného a kombinovaného postižení. Následně je představena oblast partnerské spokojenosti, její definice, determinanty, které ji ovlivňují, a rovněž přístupy k jejímu měření. V poslední a stěžejní kapitole teoretické části jsou shrnuta specifika rodičovství dětí s tělesným a kombinovaným postižením s ohledem na partnerství rodičů. Součástí práce je výzkum kvalitativního charakteru. Cílem výzkumné části je zkoumání vlivu přítomnosti dítěte s tělesným nebo kombinovaným postižením na partnerskou spokojenost jeho rodičů. Pozornost je zaměřena především na identifikaci oblastí, které jsou rodiči v partnerském vztahu vnímané jako problematické. Výsledky ukazují na celkové zhoršení partnerské spokojenosti u rodičů dětí s tělesným a kombinovaným postižením. Byly identifikovány konkrétní problematické oblasti: proces vyrovnávání se s nastalou situací, snížená komunikace, pocity viny a méněcennosti, psychická i praktická izolace obou partnerů, finanční potíže a nedostatek volného času.
