Fakulta versus ústav - analýza a komparace managementu

Abstract

The aim of the diploma thesis is to compare and balance the differences in the management of the parts of the Czech Technical University in Prague - the faculty and the university institute, the Masaryk Institute of Advanced Studies of the Czech Technical University in Prague, to identify and characterize the conditions when it is possible or appropriate to change the institute at the faculty from a managerial perspective in the context of other conditions and conditions and to define specific formal steps for the transformation of the institute at the faculty and its environment.. The methods used were document analysis, data analysis, interviews. The content of the theoretical part is a description of the development and current state of higher education in the Czech Republic, including the legislative framework, financing and development trends. Furthermore, this part describes the organizational structure and management of the university parts and the process of change. The empirical part describes the current state of CTU, Masaryk Institute of Advanced Studies, CTU and its anchoring within the university. Cílem diplomové práce je porovnat a definovat rozdíly managementu součástí Českého vysokého učení technického v Praze - fakult a vysokoškolského ústavu, Masarykova ústavu vyšších studií ČVUT v Praze, zjistit a charakterizovat podmínky, kdy je možné či potřebné změnit ústav na fakultu z manažerského pohledu v kontextu ostatních podmínek a okolností, a definovat konkrétní formální kroky pro transformaci ústavu na fakultu a její ustavení. Použitými metodami byla analýza dokumentů, analýza dat, rozhovory. Obsahem teoretické části je popis vývoje i aktuálního stavu vysokého školství v ČR včetně legislativního rámce, financování a vývojových trendů. Dále tato část popisuje organizační struktury a management součástí vysoké školy a proces organizační změny. V empirické části je popsán současný stav ČVUT, Masarykova ústavu vyšších studií ČVUT a jeho zakotvení v rámci univerzity. Dále je navržen sled a popis formálních kroků vedoucích k transformaci ústavu na fakultu, možná organizační struktura nové fakulty a popis etap po přeměně.
