Abstract

The thesis deals with the quality of life of adults with mental disabilities attending social services of a selected rehabilitation center. The aim of the thesis is to capture the quality of life of adults with mental disabilities attending social services of a selected rehabilitation center. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part discusses the basic aspects of mental disabilities in adults and defines the aspects of mental disabilities from the transition from adolescence to adulthood to the aging of an individual with mental disabilities. Furthermore, the theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to defining quality of life and defining this concept in the context of adults with mental disabilities. The last part of the theoretical framework of the thesis describes social services intended for adults with mental disabilities. The empirical part of the thesis is focused on the quality of life of adults with mental disabilities attending social services of a selected rehabilitation center. Diplomová práce se zabývá kvalitou života dospělých osob s mentálním postižením docházejících do sociálních služeb vybraného rehabilitačního centra. Cílem práce je zachytit kvalitu života těchto dospělých osob s mentálním postižením. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části, teoretickou a empirickou. Teoretická část pojednává o základních aspektech mentálního postižení dospělých osob a vymezuje aspekty mentálního postižení od tranzice z období dospívání do dospělosti až po stárnutí jedince s mentálním postižením. Dále se teoretická část práce věnuje definování kvality života a vymezení tohoto pojmu v kontextu dospělých osob s mentálním postižením. Poslední část teoretického rámce práce popisuje sociální služby určené pro dospělé osoby s mentálním postižením. Empirická část diplomové práce je zaměřena na kvalitu života dospělých osob s mentálním postižením docházejících do sociálních služeb vybraného rehabilitačního centra. Výzkumné šetření je provedeno metodou kvalitativního výzkumu, konkrétně případové studie. Data jsou shromážděna pomocí polostrukturovaných rozhovorů a analýzy dokumentů. V analýze dat byla využita metoda otevřeného kódování dat. Pro kategorizaci a interpretaci dat byla využita technika vyložení karet.
