Motivace studentů oboru učitelství pro 1. st. ZŠ ke studiu: analýza studentských esejí

Abstract

This diploma thesis focuses on the motivation of prospective and beginning primary school teachers, specifically students of the Primary School Teacher Training program at the Faculty of Education, Charles University. The aim is to identify key factors influencing their professional choice and to observe the development of their motivation during the initial period of their studies. The thesis examines both intrinsic and extrinsic motives, such as personal interest, a sense of mission, the influence of role models and family background, and previous practical experience with children. The theoretical part describes motivation in the teaching profession, the personality of a teacher, the beginning teacher, and specifies the demands of the profession, including the issue of teachers' professional burden. It also addresses the profile of the Primary School Teacher Training program at the Faculty of Education, Charles University. The empirical part is based on the analysis of student essays and subsequent semi-structured interviews. This section confirmed students' strong intrinsic motivation, which is often rooted in childhood and influenced by personal experiences. Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na motivaci budoucích a začínajících učitelů 1.stupně základních škol, konkrétně studentů oboru Učitelství pro 1. stupeň ZŠ na Pedagogické fakultě Univerzity Karlovy. Cílem je identifikovat klíčové faktory, které ovlivňují jejich profesní volbu a sledovat vývoj motivace v průběhu počátku studia. Práce zkoumá vnitřní i vnější motivy, jako jsou osobní zájem, pocit poslání, vliv vzorů a rodinného zázemí, či předchozí praktické zkušenosti s dětmi. Teoretická část popisuje motivaci v pedagogické profesi, osobnost učitele, začínajícího učitele a specifikuje nároky profese včetně problematiky profesní zátěže pedagogů. Dále se věnuje profilu oboru učitelství pro 1. stupeň základní školy na Pedagogické fakultě Karlovy univerzity. Empirická část je založená na analýze studentských esejí a následných polostrukturovaných rozhovorech. Tato část potvrdila silnou vnitřní motivaci studentů, která je často zakořeněná v dětství a ovlivněnou osobními zkušenostmi. Výzkum ukázal, že navzdory uvědomění si vysoké náročnosti profese, a jistým obavám se původní motivace studentů v průběhu studia upevňuje.
