Umění a umělá inteligence: experimentální srovnání vizuálních děl

Abstract

In my bachelor's thesis Art and Artificial Intelligence: An Experimental Comparison of Visual Works, I pose the research question: How do AI-generated images differ from human-created art? In the theoretical part, I explain what artificial intelligence is and how the prompt-to-image principles work. I focus on the limitations, potential, and dangers of AI in a social context. In the practical part of the thesis, I seek an answer to the research question through a creative experiment. I let the AI program DALL-E convert the author's photographs into texts and then generate images from them back using the same program. I examine and compare both series. I focus on comparing styles, aesthetics, differences, originality obtained from the descriptive text, and the impact of the generated images. In the didactic part of the thesis, I will create a series of lessons that would reflect the information obtained about the possibilities of AI art and teach students about the possibilities of AI as a tool that they are likely to encounter in the position of a consumer and which they can use in their own creations. Ve své bakalářské práci Umění a umělá inteligence: experimentální srovnání vizuálních děl si pokládám výzkumnou otázku: Jak se AI vygenerované obrazy liší od umění vytvořené člověkem? V teoretické části vysvětluji, co je umělá intelignece, a jak fungují principy prompt-to-image. Zaměřuji se na omezení, potenciál i nebezpečí AI v sociálním kontextu. V praktické části práce hledám odpověď na výzkumnou otázku cestou tvůrčího experimentu. Nechávám AI programem DALL-E převést autorské fotografie na texty a z něj zase zpátky generuji pomocí stejného programu obrazy. Obě série podrobuji zkoumání a komparaci. Zaměřuji se na porovnání stylů, estetiky, odlišností, originality získanou z popisového textu a působivost vygenerovaných obrazů. V didaktické části práce vytvářím sérii vyučovacích hodin, které by reflektovaly získané informace o možnostech AI umění a učily žáky o možnostech AI jako nástroje, se kterým se pravděpodobně setkají v pozici konzumenta a který mohou využít ve vlastní tvorbě.
