Fenylketonurie v životě vybraných skupin dětí, studentů a dospělých

Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with phenylketonuria in the lives of selected groups of children, students and adults. The aim of the thesis is to find out what problems phenylketonurics face. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the history of phenylketonuria and newborn screening. Also heredity, diagnosis of phenylketonuria and its treatment. It also deals with selected problems in phenylketonuria. These selected issues include the financial demands of diet, food availability, low protein diet, menu planning and design and phenylalanine calculation, the impact of phenylketonuria on the life and education and pregnancy of the phenylketonuria patient. The second part of the thesis is a research investigation to find out the problems faced by phenylketonuric patients and their families. This research investigation is conducted by telephone interviews directly with adult phenylketonuria patients or with parents of minor phenylketonuria patients. The results of the research show which problems most bother phenylketonurics and their families. In the discussion of the paper, possible solutions are suggested that could help eliminate or at least partially relieve some of the problems. Bakalářská práce se zabývá fenylketonurií v životě vybraných skupin dětí, studentů a dospělých. Cílem práce je zjistit, s jakými problémy se fenylketonurici potýkají. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část práce se zabývá historií fenylketonurie a novorozeneckým screeningem. Také dědičností, diagnostikou fenylketonurie a její léčbou. Dále se zabývá vybranými problémy při fenylketonurii. Mezi tyto vybrané problémy patří finanční náročnost diety, dostupnost potravin, nízkobílkovinná dieta, plánování a sestavování jídelníčku a výpočet fenylalaninu, dopady fenylketonurie do života a vzdělávání a těhotenství pacientky s fenylketonurií. Druhou částí práce je výzkumné šetření, které zjišťuje, s jakými problémy se potýkají fenylketonurici a jejich rodiny. Toto výzkumné šetření probíhá pomocí telefonních rozhovorů přímo s dospělými pacienty s fenylketonurií nebo s rodiči nezletilých pacientů s fenylketonurií. Výsledky výzkumu ukazují, které problémy nejvíce trápí fenylketonuriky a jejich rodiny. V diskusi práce jsou navržena možná řešení, která by mohla některé problémy pomoci odstranit nebo alespoň částečně od nich ulevit. Tyto návrhy řešení by mohly být nápomocné například pro Národní sdružení PKU a jiných DMP, které se stará o pacienty s fenylketonurií a zastupuje je v rámci...
