(Za) hranice kastelánské profese: kdo, co, proč a s jakými limity

Abstract

The thesis aims to provide a holistic insight into the praxis of castellanship, with the focus on its role and objective under today's management by the National Heritage Institute (NHI). The theoretical chapters consist of origins and development of the profession, where we delve into the official documents of the NHI, as well as the perception of the general public. To create a whole view of the castellanship praxis aligned with our goal, we undergo a series of eight semi-scripted interviews with castellans. These interviews should reveal the precise description of the praxis in its current form. With this knowledge, we uncover a differentiation between the theoretical assumptions and the reality of the castellanship praxis inside the sites managed by the NHI. Through the interviews we then verify three separate research hypotheses, which aim to formalize the problems and hardships encountered in the castellan's work. In the last chapter, results of this research are interpretted with the focus on their practical application, along with their possible effects on future developments of the praxis of castellanship. Diplomová práce si klade za cíl předložit svým čtenářům ucelený pohled na kastelánskou profesi s důrazem na její roli a obsah v dnešní správě objektů Národního památkového ústavu (dále jen NPÚ). Teoretické kapitoly práce nastiňují vznik a vývoj profese, pátrají po definici zapsané v oficiálních dokumentech NPÚ, i po tom, jak toto povolání vnímá veřejnost. Aby byl obrázek kastelánské profese v souladu s hlavním cílem práce kompletní, praktická část pak na základě osmi polostrukturovaných rozhovorů mapuje, jak o své profesi smýšlejí sami kasteláni. Nezůstává však jen u toho. V kontextu teoretické části se výzkum zaměřuje rovněž na rozdíly mezi teoretickými představami o náplni kastelánské práce a realitou žitou v praxi na památkách ve správě NPÚ. Skrze rozhovory jsou proto ověřeny i tři výzkumné hypotézy, jež tematizují problémy a obtíže, na které kasteláni při výkonu své profese narážejí. V závěrečné kapitole práce jsou pak výsledky výzkumu interpretovány s ohledem na jejich praktické využití a snahu ukázat, co na jejich základě můžeme o budoucnosti profese předpokládat.
