Úspěch v jazykovém obrazu světa žáků českých základních a středních škol

Abstract

The topic of the dissertation is the concept of ÚSPĚCH ("SUCCESS)" in the linguistic picture of the world of Czech students. We consider the research aimed at a deeper understanding of the linguistic picture of the world of children and youth to be highly topical, which corresponds to the current trends in the field of linguistics and didactics. Theoretically and methodologically, it is based on cognitive linguistics and Polish ethnolinguistics, linguistic disciplines focused on the research of the relationship between language and culture, which work with the concept of a linguistic picture of the world. The thesis also draws on American cognitive linguistics, which studies the theory of conceptual metaphor, as well as Czech and foreign didactic applications of the theoretical foundations of cognitive linguistics. The thesis aims to reconstruct the linguistic picture of ÚSPĚCH ("SUCCESS") in a specific group of Czech native speakers - lower secondary and upper secondary school students. Tématem disertační práce je jazykový obraz ÚSPĚCHU u českých žáků. Výzkum zaměřený na hlubší poznávání jazykového obrazu světa dětí a mládeže považujeme za vysoce aktuální, což koresponduje se současnými trendy v oblasti lingvistiky a lingvodidaktiky. Teoreticky i metodologicky vycházíme z kognitivní lingvistiky a polské etnolingvistiky, jazykových disciplín zaměřených na výzkum vztahu jazyka a kultury, které pracují s pojmem jazykový obraz světa. Práce dále vychází z americké kognitivní lingvistiky studující teorii konceptuál- ní metafory a také z českých i zahraničních didaktických aplikací teoretických východisek kognitivní lingvistiky. Cílem práce je rekonstruovat jazykový obraz ÚSPĚCHU u specifické skupiny rodilých mluvčích češtiny - žáků 2. stupně základních škol a žáků středních škol. Analýza slovníkových, textových a empirických dat získaných prostřednictvím specificky sestaveného dotazníku vedla na základě sémantických aspektů (profilů) a metafor, prostřed- nictvím nichž je pojem konceptualizován, k sestavení kognitivní definice ÚSPĚCHU a re- konstrukci stereotypu úspěšného člověka. Z hlediska hodnotového sledujeme v jazykovém obrazu ÚSPĚCHU dvě protikladné tendence. Na jedné straně akcentace materialistické di- menze konceptu, na druhé straně důraz na jeho etický rozměr.
