LGBT+ jako téma ve výuce cizích jazyků v českých školách

Abstract

This thesis "LGBT+ topics as curricula in foreign language education in the Czech schools" deals with the issue of integrating LGBT+ and gender-related topics into foreign language teaching. This thesis builds on previous research in the field of LGBT+ in Czech schools. Through a qualitative study in the form of semi-structured interviews with foreign language teachers in Czech primary and secondary schools, answers are sought to the questions of how are LGBT+ and gender topics integrated into foreign language teaching and how are these topics dealt with in foreign language classes. Teachers' perspectives on the integration of these topics into language teaching and possible problems that may arise when integrating these topics into language teaching are also researched. It was found that in most cases these topics arise spontaneously in foreign language classes, usually from the learners' side, who find these issues present and interesting. Teachers perceive certain shortcomings in the teaching materials in terms of integrating these topics, but they find the incorporation in the curriculum sufficient in terms of the general theme of tolerance and respect. Diplomová práce "LGBT+ jako téma ve výuce cizích jazyků v českých školách" se zabývá problematikou integrace témat související s LGBT+ a genderem do výuky jazyků. Práce navazuje na předchozí výzkumy v oblasti LGBT+ ve školách a konkretizuje je. Prostřednictvím kvalitativní studie formou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s vyučujícími cizích jazyků na českých základních a středních školách jsou hledány odpovědi na otázky, jak jsou ve školách zapracovaná do výuky cizích jazyků LGBT+ a gender témata a jakým způsobem se v hodinách cizích jazyků s těmito tématy pracuje. Zkoumán je i pohled vyučujících na integraci těchto témat do jazykové výuky a možné problémy, které mohou při integraci těchto témat do jazykové výuky nastat. Bylo zjištěno, že ve většině případů tato témata vyvstávají v hodinách cizích jazyků spontánně, obvykle ze strany studujících, pro které je tato problematika aktuální a zajímavá. Vyučující vnímají určité nedostatky v učebních materiálech, co se týče zapracování těchto témat, zapracování kurikulu jim však přijde v rovině obecného tématu tolerance a respektu dostatečné. A právě v návaznosti na téma tolerance a respektu považují integraci LGBT+ a gender témat do jazykové výuky za smysluplnou.
