Historie atletiky na Domažlicku

Abstract

Athletics is a popular sport in Domažlice. It is performed by athletes of all age groups who have no awareness of their club or their sport. This is one of the main problems. There has been no solid records taken so far, summarizing the activities on the athletic field of this geographical region. Therefore, this thesis should bring closer the history of athletics in Domažlice and evaluate the activities of athletics clubs in this region from the very beginning to the present, with a particular focus on AC Domažlice club. Marginally the thesis should be dealing with general history of athletics in Czechia and in the world.

Atletika je na Domažlicku oblíbeným sportem. Věnují se jí atleti všech věkových kategorií, kteří však nemají žádné povědomí o svém klubu ani o svém sportu. To je jeden z hlavních problémů. Veškeré informace ohledně atletiky v této oblasti nejsou nikde pohromadě sepsané. Proto by tato práce měla přiblížit historii atletiky na Domažlicku a zhodnotit činnosti atletických klubů v tomto regionu od samotných počátků po současnost, především se zaměřením na klub AC Domažlice. Okrajově se práce bude zabývat obecnými dějinami atletiky v Čechách a ve světě.
