2008In the frame of international cooperation the Carpathian geodynamic polygon serving for monitoring of non-tidal variations of the gravity acceleration was built in the 20th century. The Carpathian polygon includes around 40 points on which relative and absolute gravity acceleration measurements have been performed. Four full-value measuring periods measured by relative gravimeters were completed together with some absolute measurements by the end of 2007. Time period of nearly 50 years allows considering relevant time changes of gravity acceleration on the polygon points. Survey documentation has been compiled in a unified form and the results are clearly published and discussed. Further improvements are proposed to transform the Carpathian polygon into a modern geodynamic project using new techniques for monitoring of changes
