Abstract

Some results of research work focused on geometric and semantic properties of orthophoto imagery of the Czech Republic. They refer to real positional accuracy, influence of various factors applied during its production and to possibilities of furt applications with regard to recognition and identification of objects and phenomena of our interest. The geomatics section of the Faculty of Applied Sciences at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen has been devoting to solve these problems in theform of teacher’s research work and some diploma theses since 2002
