Abstract

prózách Karla Matěje Čapka Choda. Jejím cílem je popsat fungování jednotlivých míst a najít možné symbolické významy. jednak o naratologický přístup (konstrukce prostoru prostřednictvím narativu), jednak o přístup praktické části se pak odráží převážně ten, který počítá s že určitou paměť a nosit symbolické významy a kulturněhistorické kontexty. Práce při interpretaci s těmito aspekty počítá a uplatňuje je při určování funkce popisovaných míst. Snaží se formulovat význam autorem zvoleného místa či středí. Zachycuje, jaký má toto místo vliv na fungování postav a jak se chová v příběhu.

The thesis depicts Prague in the prose of Karel Matěj Čapek Chod. Its aim is to describe the functioning of individual places and to find possible symbolic meanings. From a methodological point of view, it is based on a naratological approach (forming the space via narration) and a thematic approach (expressing the poetics of the place). The practical part reflects mainly the approach that assumes that places have the ability to have a certain memory and to bear symbolic meanings, thus not forgetting literary and culturally historical context. The interpretation work takes these aspects into account and applies them when determining the function of the places described. It tries to articulate the meaning of the place or its surroundings chosen by the author. It captures how this place affects the functioning of the characters and how it behaves within the story.
