Způsoby pojetí výuky geologie na vybraných ZŠ v Ústeckém kraji

Abstract

This MSc. thesis analyzes the attitude of 9th grade students and their teachers to geology, which is taught at lower secondary schools most often in the course of natural history. The thesis examines the connection between the teacher's interest in the subject and teaching forms, difficulty level of the subject and the student's interest in the subject. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes the pedagogical terminology, concepts of the teaching, discusses special aspects of the teacher personality and specifics of geology as a scientific field of the subject in the education system. The research part is dealt with the description of the questionnaire and its evaluation, further it summarizes and discusses the results of the questionnaire survey among 202 students and 21 teachers from 10 elementary schools in the Ústí nad Labem Region. The questionnaire survey shows that teachers and students consider geology an important subject in terms of general education and possible use in practical life. It has also found that students do not take in geology as an interesting subject, but thanks to the creative teaching approach and using of variable methods by their teachers the geology has become acceptable for them. Předkládaná magisterská diplomová práce analyzuje přístup žáků 9. tříd základních škol a jejich učitelů k oboru geologie, který je vyučován na ZŠ nejčastěji v rámci předmětu přírodopis. Práce zkoumá souvislosti mezi učitelovým zájmem o předmět a organizačními formami výuky, obtížností předmětu a zájmem žáka o tento předmět. Teoretická část práce se zabývá terminologickým vymezením pedagogických pojmů, způsoby učitelova pojetí výuky, osobností učitele a geologií jako vědní disciplínou. Výzkumná část je věnována popisu výzkumu, tvorbě dotazníku a jeho vyhodnocení, dále jsou zde shrnuty výsledky dotazníkového šetření mezi 202 žáky a 21 učiteli z 10 základních škol Ústeckého kraje. Z dotazníkového šetření vyplývá, že geologie je učiteli i žáky považována za důležitý předmět z hlediska všeobecného vzdělání a možného využití v praktickém životě. Dále bylo zjištěno, že žáci učivo geologie nevnímají jako zajímavé, nicméně díky přístupu a použitým metodám vyučujícího je pro ně výuka geologie schůdná. Osobnost učitele, jeho postoj k učivu geologie a způsoby pojetí výuky jsou důležitým faktorem při výuce geologie na zapojených základních školách. Jako největší problém ve výuce geologie pak učitelé označují nedostatečné materiální vybavení a zázemí pro výuku.
