uk.abstract.cs	Příspěvek popisuje historii vyučování češtiny na Brownově univerzitě v USA. Ukazuje, jak postupně český program rostl z postgraduálního semináře do plnohodnotné podoby, a popisuje jeho současnou náplň. Studenti nyní mohou jezdit na Letní školu slovanských studií v rámci oficiální dohody mezi Brownem a Univerzitou Karlovou. Spolupráce s českými vědci zajišťují (ať už v rámci této dohody, nebo v rámci projektu KREAS) českou přítomnost na Brownu, což je inspirativní pro místní pedagogy i studenty	cs_CZ
uk.abstract.en	This report describes the history of the Czech program at Brown University: its inception as part of a graduate-level seminar to the present-day comprehensive program. Brown students are able to attend the Summer School of Slavonic Studies on a fellowship from the Charles University Rector’s Office as part of the Memorandum of Understanding between Brown and Charles University. Scholarly collaboration with Czech scholars — whether as part of the MoU or the KREAS project — ensures the Czech presence at Brown and inspires Brown faculty as well as students.	cs_CZ
