Rezidence Václava IV. Srovnání královských rezidencí Václava IV. a Karla V. Francouzského

Abstract

The objective of this thesis was to describe significant residences of Wenceslaus IV of Bohemia, to highlight their artistic, political and cultural significance and to put them into international perspective by comparing them with those of Charles V of France. The French influence on Czech-based architecture and art in general are appreciable, which was succefully ilustrated here. The results of detailed analysis of information acquired from historical sources, secondary literature and in some cases directly in the location are divided into four main chapters - the topic of the first chapter is the residential culture of Wenceslaus IV, which is followed by the chapter describing political and cultural relations between Czech lands and France during the end of XIV century and the beginning of the XV century, the topic of the third chapter is the residential culture of Charles V and the thesis is concluded by final comparison.

Cílem této práce bylo popsat významná sídla Václava IV. v Čechách, zdůraznit jejich umělecký, politický a všeobecně kulturní význam a zasadit je do mezinárodního rámce pomocí srovnání s rezidencemi Karla V. Francouzského. Francouzské vlivy na české prostředí, především v oblasti architektury a umění všeobecně jsou nezanedbatelné, což se zde podařilo ilustrovat. Výstupy z pečlivé analýzy informací získaných z pramenů, sekundární literatury a v některých případech přímo v dané lokalitě jsou rozděleny do čtyř hlavních kapitol - první se zabývá sídelní kulturou Václava IV., druhá politickými a kulturními vztahy českých zemí a Francie v dotyčném období koncem 14. a počátku 15. století, třetí sídelní kulturou Karla V. a čtvrtá finální komparací.
