Conservative Party, John Major, European integrationTato studie se zabývá britskou zahraniční politikou v turbulentním období počátku devadesátých
let 20. století. Cílem je přispět ke studiu zahraniční politiky vlád konzervativního ministerského
předsedy Johna Majora jako nástupce Margaret Thatcherové, a to odkrytím hlavních trendů jeho evropské
politiky.
stranu.
The study deals with the British foreign, more precisely European policy, during the turbulent times of the early 1990’s. Aim of the study is to contribute to the research of British foreign policy at times of overall changes in geopolitical order in Europe through analysis of main aspects of John Major’s foreign policy between 1990 and 1997. An emphasis is put on a destabilising European affairs’ impact on the British domestic policy, especially on the then governing Conservative party.
