Kostel Stětí sv. Jana Křtitele v Dolních Chabrech

Abstract

Práce je zaměřena na kostel Stětí sv. Jana Křtitele v Praze-Dolních Chabrech. Jedná se o románskou stavbu, která vznikla pravděpodobně ve třetí čtvrtině 12. století. Velká pozornost je věnována velmi kvalitním románským malbám v apsidě kostela. Jejich součástí je také nejstarší dochovaný mariánský cyklus na našem území. Kostelu předcházely tři starší sakrální stavby, jednou z nich byla rozměrná rotunda, z níž se dochovaly reliéfní keramické dlaždice. V práci je naznačeno možné spojení mezi tímto pozoruhodným místem a benediktinským řádem.

The thesis is focused on the church of the Beheading of St. John the Baptist in Prague-Dolní Chabry. The church is a Romanesque building, constructed presumably in the third quarter of the 12th century. A great attention is devoted to the Romanesque paintings of an exceedingly high quality in the apse of the church. They include the oldest preserved Marian cycle in our territory. The church was preceded by three older sacral buildings. One of them was a sizable rotunda, from which relief ceramic tiles are preserved. In the thesis, a possible connection between this remarkable place and the Benedictine Order is suggested.
