Umělecko historická část práce je rozdělená do několika kapitol, z nichž konkrétní umělce i díla sdružuje vždy ústřední myšlenka, například matematický princip v umění či netradiční techniky.
The topic of this work is Modern and Contemporary Art and its use at primary schools. Curricular documents, especially references to modern and contemporary art are described in the first part. The subsequent part presents artists through the generations and art trends gathered under one concrete concept or idea (ex. Art for public) . The entire thesis focuses on the interdisciplinary teaching approach to education which takes advantage of art potential. This approach not only uses art as a tool for a students' success but also tries to motivate the child to pursue further studies in the field of art. The final art project presented here makes use of ICT technologies, new media, reading and writing, mathematics and more in order to intensify the exploration of art.
