František Ferdinand d'Este a Konopiště

Abstract

Bakalářská práce "František Ferdinand d'Este a Konopiště" pojednává o přeměně středočeského zámku Konopiště na moderní sídlo budoucího císaře rakousko-uherské říše. Práce ve zkratce popisuje život arcivévody z habsbursko-lotrinské dynastie a historii jeho sídla před zakoupením se všemi důležitými proměnami hradu v průběhu let. Největší pozornost je věnována přestavbám za Františka Ferdinanda, ať již těm realizovaným, tak i těm plánovaným, které však v důsledku sarajevského atentátu a vypuknutí první světová války nikdy realizovány nebyly. V závěru jsou stručně připomenuty osudy dětí Františka Ferdinanda i samotného zámku ve 20. století.

The Bachelor thesis 'Francis Ferdinand d'Este and Konopiště' deals with the transformation of Konopiste Castle in Central Bohemia into a modern residence of the future emperor of Austria-Hungary. The thesis briefly describes the life of the Archduke from the Habsburg-Lorraine's dynasty and also the history of his mansion including all the important changes during the years before it was bought. The greatest attention is given to the reconstruction works during Francis Ferdinand's years - not only to the reconstruction works that were already implemented, but also to those that had been planned, but which could never have been realised because of the assassination in Sarajevo and the outbreak of World War I.The faith of Francis Ferdinand's children and the destiny of the castle in the 20th century are briefly mentioned in the conclusion.
