Komentovaný překlad: Zrod jednoho průmyslu

Abstract

Cílem této bakalářské práce je přeložit kapitolu The birth of an industry od Douglase Brustera z knihy The Cambridge History of British Theatre. Dále práce obsahuje komentář tohoto překladu, který se skládá z několika částí. První je pasáž věnovaná překladatelské analýze výchozího textu, druhá část se zaměřuje na stanovení překladatelských problémů a jejich možná řešení. Poslední částí této práce je pak typologické rozdělení překladatelských posunů, ke kterým při překladu došlo, a jejich konkrétních řešení.

The aim of this thesis is to translate the chapter The birth of an industry written by Douglas Bruster for the publication The Cambridge History of British Theatre. This thesis further contains a commentary of the translation. The first part of the commentary is devoted to translation analysis of the original text, the second part concentrates on description of the translation problems and their solutions. This thesis is concluded by a typology of translation shifts.
