ABSTRACT: Poslední román M. F. Dostojevského Bratři Karamazovi dokončený v roce 1880 se dotýká hlubokých otázek náboženského a mravního charakteru, lidského bytí a smyslu života. Na stránkách románu je popsán příběh života rodiny Karamazových - otce Fjodora Pavloviče a jeho tří synů, Dimitrije, Ivana a Alexeje. V tomto geniálním díle se autor snaží odhalit čtenáři hloubku duší těchto zcela povahově protikladných lidí spojených rodinným poutem. Prostřednictvím svých hrdinů se spisovatel pokouší vystihnout mnohostrannou duši ruského člověka s jejími vášněmi, rozpory i věčným bojem dobra a zla v ní. Spisovatel se zabývá otázkami podstaty lidského bytí, které v souladu s jeho světonázorovou koncepcí není možné bez činorodé lásky a duchovního poznání. Křesťanská symbolika a náboženské myšlenky jsou jedněmi z klíčových tohoto románu, jejichž zkoumání si klade za cíl tato bakalářská práce. ABSTRACT: The last novel of F. M Dostoyevsky The Brothers Karamazov completed in 1880 addresses profound questions such as religion and morality, human existence and the essence of life. The novel describes a life of the Karamazov family - the father Fyodor Pavlovich and his three sons Dmitri, Ivan and Alexei. In this masterpiece the author is trying to reveal the emotional intensity of these three people who are entirely different in their behavior and ideology. By means of his literary characters the author is trying to grasp many sides of a human soul with its passions, contradictions and the eternal struggle of good and evil in it. The author of the novel deals with different aspects of human existence which according to his vision is not possible without sacrificial love and the spiritual knowledge. This Bachelor thesis is dedicated to the analyses of the Christian symbolism and the author's religious perception which occupy an important place in the novel.
