variational image segmentation, Mumford and Shah image sgmentation, active contours without edgesPráce se zabývá teoretickým popisem Mumford--Shahova segmentačního modelu digitálního obrazu. Je probrána silná i slabá formulace problému, otázka existence a jednoznačnosti řešení a vlastnosti tohoto řešení. Dále je součástí práce numerická implementace konkrétní varianty tohoto modelu nazvané active contours without edges. Tato implementace je prakticky testována na několika snímcích, výsledky testování jsou podrobně popsány a teoreticky vysvětleny.
The text covers the theory of the Mumford and Shah model for digital image segmentation. The strong and weak formulation is presented and the questions of existence, uniqueness, and solution regularity is answered. Then, a particular variant of the model called `active contours without edges' is numerically implemented. This implementation is tested on several images, the results are presented in detail and theoretically explained.
