Diplomová práce si klade za cíl představit dva francouzské regiony: Picardii a Nord-Pas-de-Calais. Práce se skládá ze dvou hlavních částí, teoretické a praktické. První, teoretická část, systematicky popisuje oba regiony, začíná zeměpisnými údaji, navazuje historií a ekonomií a končí nejobsáhlejší kapitolou kulturní antropologie. Druhá, praktická část, používá informace z části první a vytváří didaktickou příručku pro učitele, přičemž dodržuje stejný sled kapitol jako část teoretická. Jednotlivé kapitoly zeměpis, historie, ekonomie a kulturní antropologie obsahují různá cvičení a aktivity, které mají obohatit výuku francouzského jazyka o reálie severu Francie.

The first, theoretical part, systematically describes the two regions, begins with geographical data, followed by history and economics and ends with the mostextensive chapter of cultural anthropology. The second, practical part, uses information from the first part and creates a didactic guide for teachers, whereas follows the same sequence of chapters as the theoretical part. Particular chapters about geography, history, economics and cultural anthropology include various exercises and activities that shall enrich the teaching of French language about the realities of Northern France.
