Tato práce se zabývá studiem vzniku a vývoje veřejných prostranství středověkých měst. Uvedená témata jsou důležitou součástí studia archeologie. Ke studiu lze kromě výsledků archeologických výzkumů použít i písemné prameny, novověké mapy a plány a stavebně historické průzkumy. Práce nastiňuje význam a vývoj veřejných prostranství na několika příkladech zkoumaných měst u nás i v zahraničí.
The topic of this diploma dissertation is the problem of the origins and the evolution of the public spaces. These topics are important part of the archaeology. The specialists involved draw upon archaeological research, written historical sources and modern-day maps and plans. This diploma dissertation outlines also the importance and the evolution of the public spaces on several examples in the Czech Republic and abroad.
