1. SUMMARY European International Law of Procedure especially focused on the Regulation Brussels IIa The thesis describes the substance of the European international law of procedure. In the first part of the thesis, there is explained the subject matter of the European international law and its sources. The sources are divided into the part of the national and international sources. Special attention is given to the European sources. The respective chapter involves the development of the grounds for establishing European international law of procedure as a new discipline, points out the most important data as well as the major international treaties, followed by a brief description of regulations adopted by the European Union at the field of law of procedure. The second part of the thesis consists of a rather detail description of provisions on jurisdiction, recognition and enforcement of judgments in the matrimonial matters and the matters of parental responsibility, as regulated in the Czech law, as well as in the Regulation Brussels IIa, including the development on this field of law and prospective updating of the regulation.
