Abstract

FROM PROSE THROUGH DRAMATIC TEXT TO PRODUCTION Changes of Agatha Christie's story Five Little Pigs Kristýna Stachová ABSTRACT This bachelor's thesis focuses on the dramatization process of Agatha Christie's story Five Little Pigs and its later stage adaptation at the J. K. Tyl Theatre in Plzeň. The first part of the thesis addresses the concepts of adaptation and dramatization in general terms, which are then illustrated specifically through the work of Agatha Christie. The aim is to provide insight into the ways in which Christie approached her own texts and how she transformed them into dramatic work. Following this theoretical foundation, the following chapters examine how these principles are reflected in the dramatization of her specific work. Given the retrospective nature of the story, the analysis primarily focuses on how the dramatization handles character development and the manipulation of time. The final chapter explores how this dramatization was interpreted and staged by Martina Schlegelová, who translated and adapted the text herself and directed the production under its original English title Go Back for Murder with the ensemble of the J. OD PRÓZY PŘES DRAMATICKÝ TEXT K INSCENACI Přerod povídky Pět malých prasátek Agathy Christie Kristýna Stachová ABSTRAKT Bakalářská práce se věnuje problematice procesu dramatizace povídky Pět malých prasátek Agathy Christie a jejím následným převodem na jeviště plzeňského divadla. V práci se nejprve věnuji otázce adaptace a dramatizace v obecné rovině, které následně ukazuji konkrétně na práci Agathy Christie. Snažím se tak přiblížit, jakým způsobem autorka ke svým vlastním textům přistupovala a jak následně tvořila jejich dramatickou podobu. Po teoretickém ohledání její práce se v dalších kapitolách věnuji tomu, jak se tyto principy projevují v dramatizaci konkrétního titulu. S ohledem na povahu povídky se zaměřuji převážně na to, jak autorka v dramatizaci pracovala s postavami a časovou rovinou, jelikož se jedná o příběh vyprávěný z velké části retrospektivně. V poslední kapitole se věnuji, jak s touto dramatizací pracovala Martina Schlegelová, která text sama přeložila, upravila a následně s původním anglickým názvem Go Back For Murder nastudovala se souborem Divadla J. K. Tyla v Plzni. Závěr bakalářské práce shrnuje, jak celý proces převodu textu na dramatický funguje a jak se v jeho průběhu může proměnit podoba příběhu.
