Emoční inteligence u osob s heterosexuální a ne-heterosexuální orientací v kontextu genderové identity

Abstract

The main topic of the dissertation thesis is the construct of emotional intelligence which can be defined via several theoretical models out of which the well known ones are presented step by step in the theoretical part of this work. The paper also exlains the main difference between ability and trait emotional intelligence which represent two different ways, above all, for measuring the construct. The most well know tools are presented in one of the chapters too. The theoretical part of the dissertation largely elaborate on the topic of individual differences in emotional intelligence which were explored within the basic research of the construct. The purpose of the two separate studies which were conducted within the dissertation research project was to examine whether the groups of heterosexual and non-heterosexual respondents are statistically similar or different in both ability and trait emotional intelligence and in emotion regulation which is considered to be the upper component of emotional intelligence. Jádrovým tématem disertační práce je emoční inteligence, která bývá konceptualizována vícero teoretickými modely, z nichž ty nejznámější jsou v teoretické části práce postupně představovány. Pojednáno je rovněž o hlavních rozdílech mezi takzvanou schopnostní a rysovou emoční inteligencí, které reprezentují dva diferencované přístupy k měření konstruktu. Práce předkládá rovněž informace o několika v současnosti nejznámějších konkrétních nástrojích využívaných pro měření emoční inteligence. Široce jsou rozebírány meziskupinové rozdíly v úrovni emoční inteligence, které byly zjištěny dosavadním základním výzkumem. Vlastní výzkumný problém řešený v empirické části je zaměřen na porovnání úrovně schopnostní i rysové emoční inteligence mezi skupinou heterosexuálních a ne-heterosexuálních osob a na otázku, zdali mezi těmito skupinami existují statisticky významné rozdíly. Obdobná komparace je provedena také pro emoční regulaci jakožto hierarchicky nejvyšší úroveň konstruktu emoční inteligence. Nadto je v rámci dvou separátních studií výzkumu cíleno na replikaci slabého vztahu schopnostní a rysové emoční inteligence, a dále také vztahu schopnostní emoční inteligence s kognitivním intelektem a na souvztažnost rysové emoční inteligence s osobnostními rysy.
