Tato práce přibližuje současnou politickou situaci na Kubě a charakterizuje tamní politický systém. Její hlavní náplní je analýza a typologizace rodící se opozice na Kubě. Cílem není přinést vyčerpávající přehled všech uskupení, která je možné pod pojem opozice zahrnout, a je tedy pravděpodobné, že zde některé relativně významné skupiny nenajdeme. V této práci uvedený přehled má však jiný úkol, a tím je dokázat velkou rozmanitost kubánské opozice s využitím několika výstižných příkladů. Právě různorodost opozice a skupin zahmutelných pod pojem občanská společnost obecně je jedním z velmi důležitých aspektů při případném přechodu nedemokratického systému, jakým je Kuba, k uspořádání demokratičtějšímu. Pro tyto účely je zde částečně využito typologie opozice v nedemokratických režimech Harolda G. Skillinga, která je upravena pro specifika opozice kubánské a v návaznosti na rozhovory s představiteli kubánské opozice jak na Kubě, tak v exilu, s přihlédnutím k tomu, jak oni samotní svá opoziční seskupení chápou a jak se vymezují vůči ostatním skupinám.
This paper describes current political situation in Cuba and defines the country's political system. The main aim of the paper is to analyze the emerging opposition in Cuba and to divide it into particular groups or types. The author does not aspire to present and exhaustive list of all opposition groups, and it is therefore possible some of quite important ones are not listed here. The listing we will find in this paper aims to prove how diverse the Cuban opposition is nowadays using just a few telling examples. It is the diversity of opposition and civil society groups which is one of very important aspects in a society that strives for transition towards a more democratic regime. To prove this diversity the author has used Skilling's typology of opposition groups in non-democratic regimes and adjusted it to specific aspects of the situation in Cuba and according to how these groups are viewed by their own representatives either in Cuba or in exile.
