Práce se zabývá postavením žen v současné tuniské společnosti. Snaží se jej zasadit do historického, politického a náboženského kontextu země. Pro nedostatek česky psaných zdrojů se opírá o zahraniční (frankofonní) texty. Tunisko nabízí zajímavé zkoumání, jak z hlediska momentálního postavení žen, tak z hlediska okolností, které jej formovaly. Tunisko má před svými maghrebskými sousedy v otázce ženských práv náskok. Je to důsledkem kombinace politického štěstí, odvahy a umu Habiba Bourguiby, prvního prezidenta, a příznivých společenskoekonomických podmínek. Tunisko mohlo ze své historické závislosti na Francii vytěžit maximum. Kromě toho relativně bezproblémový zisk nezávislosti nebrzdil vývoj v prvních letech samostatného státu. Na druhou stranu je Tunisko země rozporů. Zeny osvobodilo v míře neobvyklé u arabských zemí, ale myšlení lidí zůstává často vzdáleno legislativním opatřením vlády. Bakalářská práce je rozdělena do čtyř částí. V první je nastíněn otisk islámu v tuniské společnosti za účelem naznačit, do jaké míry se Bourguiba později rozešel s původní představou Tunisanů o místě žen ve společnosti. Druhá část se zabývá Bourguibovými politickými vizemi, jeho argumentací a metodami, které využíval k jejich prosazení. Zjišťuje se zde, nakolik se mu podařilo realizovat projekt laického státu. This work deals with the position of women in Tunisian society at present, and attempts to put it into the historical, political and religious context of the country. Due to a lack of Czech sources it is supported by foreign (francophone) sources. Tunisia offers an interesting exploration both from the perspective of the current position of women and also due to the circumstances involved in its formation. Tunisia is ahead of its maghreb neighbors as far as women's rights are concerned. This is a result of a combination of the political fortune, courage and skill of Habib Bourguiba, Tunisia's first president, combined with favorable socio-economic conditions. Tunisia obtained as much benefit as possible from its historical dependence on France. Apart from that, due to its relatively trouble-free acquisition of independence, development during the first few years of independence was not slowed down.. On the other hand, Tunisia is a land of contrast. Tunisian women have gained freedom, in remarkable measure for an Arabic country, but the thinking of the people often remains far away from the legislative measures of the government..
