Kulturně-historické práce Aloise Jiráska

Abstract

Cílem této rigorózní práce je představit Aloise Jiráska jako tvůrce textů populárně naučných, osvětových i tendenčních, uveřejněných v dobových periodikách, respektive přetištěných v Sebraných spisech, a takto korigovat konvenční představu o tomto autoru jako výlučně o beletristovi. Jiráskovy texty kulturně- historického charakteru, jež se ocitly neprávem na periferii badatelského zájmu (v sekundární literatuře se objevují jen stručné zmínky o nich), budou na základě materiálového průzkumu stratifikovány a charakterizovány (i v komparaci s texty jiných autorů). Práce se pokusí reflektovat jejich přínos na poli osvětovém i populárně-naučném, v soustředění základních informací by měla sloužit rovněž jako podklad k dalšímu výzkumu a nastínit jeho možnosti. The purpose of this rigorous thesis is to present Alois Jirásek as an author of popular texts, both educative and tendentious, published in contemporary periodicals or reprinted in his collected works as the case may be; and thus adjust his conventional picture as a writer exclusively of fiction. Jirásek's writings on historical and cultural topics, having largely been on the margins of scholarly focus (as secondary literature appears to refer to them on very few occasions), shall be stratified and characterized here, as well as contrasted and compared with the works of other selected authors. The work attempts to reflect their merits educative and instructive, and - assembling all the fundamental information - aims to serve as the basis for further research and outline its possibilities.
