Praktickou část tvoří překlad jedné kapitoly z vojenské jezdecké příručky "The Cavalry Horse and his Pack", která dnes patří mezi tzv. zapomenuté knihy o praktickém jezdeckém umění. Ve vybrané kapitole se autor John. J. Boniface zaměřuje na problematiku překonávání vodních toků. Teoretická část práce se věnuje analýze původního textu, překladatelské metodě, popisu a rozboru hlavních překladatelských problémů s doprovodnými příklady, rozboru posunů a jejich řešení. Klíčová slova: jezdecký výcvik, jezdectvo, koně, komentovaný překlad, překladatelská analýza, překladatelské metody, překladatelské posuny, překladatelské problémy, vojenství
