Principality of Transylvania, Ottoman rule, Turkish literature in Hungary, Hungarian literature, 16–17th centuryOttoman rule in the central territories of the Hungarian state, the formation of the Principality of Transylvania and the development of the Kingdom of Hungary in the 16th century created the framework for the formation of modern Hungarian culture. From this transformation of the medieval system the basics of Hungarian-language literature emerged. A unique phenomenon of this age was the formation of local Turkish literature, and in particular various trends in classical Turkish poetry.
