| dc.description | This paper aims to display the most significant feature of Proust’s thinking of time consisting ina specific connection between the time as a concrete lived quality and the extra-temporal qualitativedifference or essence. The time in its most concrete realizations, as Proust makes it clear, is alwaysa particular kind of „emanation“ of the extra-temporal reality, which is likewise the final goal of thequest of the hero and the source of the creative process manifested in the novel. This nontemporalessence itself however remains hidden up to the very end of the novel. | |
