České podoby Franze Kafky před druhou světovou válkou

Abstract

Přítomná práce je věnována analýze proměn recepce Franze Kafky v českém prostředí před druhou světovou válkou, konkrétně zkoumání českých překladů a českojazyčných kritických reflexí jeho prací. Práce je rozdělena do dvou časově symetrických částí: první je věnována Kafkově recepci za života (1909-1922), druhá recepci po jeho smrti (1924-1939). V první části jsou tematizovány překlady Kafkových úředních publikací v kontextu jejich vzniku, problematiky Kafkova autorského podílu na vzniku původních textů jako zdroje pro jejich překlad a zasazení těchto textů do celku Kafkova díla a do kontextu jeho beletristických prací; pozornost je dále věnována prosopograficky orientovanému zkoumání recepce Kafkových beletristických textů za jeho života a analýze odlišných překladatelských strategií autorů, kteří za Kafkova života převedli jeho texty do češtiny (Milena Jesenská, Milena Illová, Jaroslav Dohnal), Kafkových reakcí na ně a toho, jak se zpětně odrážejí v jeho tvorbě. Zkoumání ve druhé části práce je členěno především podle jednotlivých linií recepce, jejichž těžiště se postupně přesouvá od expresionisticky k surrealisticky zaměřeným interpretacím; analýza postupných proměn Kafkova obrazu v českém tisku odrážející proměňující se vnímání jeho postavy a díla zřetelně ukazuje, že Kafka nebyl ve třicátých...

The present study focuses on the analysis of the changes of Franz Kafka's reception in the Czech context before World War II, i. e. on the analysis of Czech translations and critical reflections in Czech language of his works. The study is divided into two symmetrical (in time) parts: the first one focuses on Kafka's reception in his lifetime (1909-1922), the second one on the reception after his death (1924-1939). In the first part, translations of Kafka's office publications are analyzed in the context of their origin, Kafka's part (as an author) in the formation of the original texts as a source for their translation and set in the context of his belletristic works; in the prosopographically oriented analysis the aim is further focused on the reception of Kafka's belletristic texts in his lifetime and on different strategies of translation by authors who translated his texts into Czech during his lifetime (Milena Jesenská, Milena Illová, Jaroslav Dohnal), Kafka's responses and how they are reflected in his work.
