Kultura neslyšících v Korejské republice

Abstract

The aim is to focus on development of Deaf culture in the Republic of Korea. The thesis focuses not only on hearing impairment and the distribution of hearing loss categories from a medical point of view, but also the Deaf community and the importance of their own identities, which played a major role in the Deaf culture. It will also point to changes in Korean majority society's view on the Deaf community, and what caused Korean society's view to change. The part of this thesis is also focused on the history and characteristics of Korean sign language, which is considered to be the mother language of the deaf, methods of educating the deaf and the various alternative ways of communication that educators have developed and compared to education in Korean sign language. Cílem je zaměřit se na vývoj kultury neslyšících v Korejské republice. Práce se zaměřuje nejen na sluchové postižení a rozdělení sluchových ztrát do kategorií z medicínského hlediska, ale i na komunitu neslyšících a důležitosti jejich vlastní identity, která hraje velkou roli v jejich kultuře. Také bude poukázáno na změny pohledu korejské většinové společnosti na komunitu neslyšících a co způsobilo, že se pohled společnosti změnil. Část práce je zaměřená i na historii a charakteristiku korejského znakového jazyka, který je považován za mateřský jazyk neslyšících, způsoby vzdělávaní neslyšících a různé alternativní způsoby komunikace, které vytvořili pedagogové v porovnání se vzděláváním v korejském znakovém jazyku.
