Sex flushes: Termální a barevné reakce v obličejové oblasti při sexuálním vzrušení žen

Abstract

Sex flushes are color changes that have not yet been investigated by experimental research. These changes are very similar to blushing, but the continuity of these two phenomena has not yet been the subject of research. In our study we measured the temperature and color reactions occurring in face and upper chest during different situations that cause blushing (embarrassment, pride and seduction or attractivity) or sexual arousal. We also tested whether temperature and color changes are related. The reaction was examined in six selected regions (ROIs) in the face and décolleté - forehead, eyes, nose, cheeks, mouth and upper chest. These changes were analyzed from thermocamera (temperature response) and classic photos (color reactions) on a sample of 21 female participant. Our results show that all the situations investigated triggered temperature changes in the ROIs under review. The most striking temperature changes was measured in the forehead area in an embarrassing situation, in the area of nose and eyes in sexual fantasy focused on physical experience, cheeks in seductive situation or attractiveness and mouth during pride. Sex flushes jsou barevné změny, jimiž se prozatím žádný experimentální výzkum nezabýval. Jsou to změny velmi podobné červenání, ale spojitost těchto dvou jevů prozatím nebyla předmětem výzkumu. V naší studii byly měřeny teplotní a barevné reakce, kterým dochází v oblastech obličeje a dekoltu během různých situací vyvolávajících červenání (trapná situace, pýcha a dvoření) nebo sexuální vzrušení v porovnání s klidovými hodnotami. Dále jsme testovali, zda spolu tyto změny souvisí. Reakce jsme zkoumali v šesti vybraných regionech (ROI) v obličeji a dekoltu - čelo, oči, nos, tváře, ústa, dekolt. Tyto změny byly analyzovány ze snímků pořízených termokamerou (teplotní reakce) a z klasických fotografií (barevné reakce) na vzorku 21 žen. Z našich výsledků vyplývá, že všechny zkoumané situace vyvolávají teplotní změny ve sledovaných ROI. Teplotní změny se ukázaly jako nejvýraznější v oblasti čela v trapné situaci, v oblasti nosu a očí v sexuální fantazii zaměřené na tělesný prožitek, ve tvářích při dvoření či atraktivitě a v oblasti úst během pýchy. Všechny experimentální situace vyvolávají okem viditelné zčervenání v oblasti tváří.
