Specifika situace otců samoživitelů v porovnání se situací matek samoživitelek

Abstract

Práce se zabývá porovnáním vybraných specifik mužského samoživitelství se situací matek samoživitelek v České republice. V čele drtivé většiny neúplných rodin stojí žena, ale jsou i případy, kdy na sebe roli samoživitele přebírá muž. Mužskému samoživitelství dosud nebylo věnováno příliš pozornosti, a proto se mi toto téma zdá zajímavé, jelikož není příliš prozkoumané. Práce porovnává čtyři základní aspekty samoživitelství. Jedná se o harmonizaci zaměstnání s péčí o děti, ekonomickou situaci rodin samoživitelek a samoživitelů, dále se práce zaměřuje na oblast péče o děti a domácnost a posledním aspektem, který je v práci zkoumán, je přístup okolí k matkám samoživitelkám a otcům samoživitelům. Hlavním cílem práce je zjistit, jestli je mužské samoživitelství vůči ženskému v něčem specifické nebo jestli se obě skupiny potýkají se stejnými problémy. V práci jsem používala jak data primární, které byly získány z rozhovorů s otci samoživiteli, tak i sekundární data, jež byla získána z již provedených výzkumů a literatury. Sekundární data sloužila pro popis situace matek samoživitelek a pro porovnání obou skupin.

This thesis is focused on comparison of specifics of single fatherhood and the situation of single mothers in the Czech Republic. At the head of majority of single-parent families is a woman, but there are cases in which the head of single-parent family is a man. The situation of single fathers has not been explored enough yet. That is why I consider this topic very interesting. The thesis focuses on comparison of four key aspects of single-parenthood. These are reconciliation of job and childcare, economic situation of single-mothers and single- fathers families, childcare and household chores and the last aspect is attitude of people towards the single-parenthood. The main aim of the thesis is to find out if the situation of single-fathers families is different from the situation of single-mothers families. I have used primary data, which I gained from interviews with single fathers and also secondary data from different qualitative researches and literature focused on issues connected to this topic. The secondary data have been used for description of the situation of single mothers and also for the comparison of both groups.
