O sekulární stagnaci

Abstract

Tato práce, se zabývá teorií sekulární stagnace. V první části práce se zabývám formulací teorie sekulární stagnace, tedy přehledu hlavních myšlenek jejích představitelů. Tato teorie implikuje pokles trendové míry hospodářského růstu. Pomocí state stace modelu, který umožňuje odhadnout v čase proměnlivou hodnotu trendovou časové řady, jsem otestoval hypotézu, zda pro skupinu vyspělých zemí došlo k poklesu trendové míry hospodářského růstu. Zjistil jsem, že v míře trendu hospodářského růstu USA, Japonska, Velké Británie, Francie a Kanady jsou patrné klesající tendence, které jsou statisticky signifikantní. Toto zjištění je konzistentní s hlavními tezemi teorie sekulární stagnace.

The main focus of this work is theory of secular stagnation. The first part deals with the formulation of theory of secular stagnation, more concretely with a summary of the main ideas of its representatives. This theory implies a decline in the trend component of economic growth rate. I used state space model to test the hypothesis, if there is statistically significant decline in the trend component of economic growth rate. I found statistically significant decline in the trend component of economic growth rate for USA, Japan, UK, France and Canada. These findings are consistent with the theory of secular stagnation.
