Komentovaný překlad vybraných kapitol z knihy The Life and Death of Anne Boleyn. Padstow: Blackwell Publishing, 2005

Abstract

Bakalářská práce sestává ze dvou částí - překladu a následného komentáře. Předmětem překladové části je kapitola z monografie britského historika Erika Ivese The Life and Death of Anne Boleyn zabývající se některými aspekty manželství Jindřicha VIII. a Anny Boleynové. V komentáři jsou nejprve analyzovány vnětextové a vnitrotextové faktory podle modelu Christiane Nordové a jsou stanoveny funkce textu a překladatelská metoda. V dalších částech jsou popsány překladatelské problémy a posuny, ke kterým během překladatelského procesu došlo.

The bachelor thesis comprises of two main parts - the translation and the commentary on it. In the first part, a chapter from the book The Life and Death of Anne Boleyn by the British historian Eric Ives is translated. The source text deals with the marriage of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn and some of its aspects. The second part begins with the analysis of the source text based on Christiane Nord's model and the determination of the text's functions and the translation method. In the next chapters, the major translation problems are discussed along with the translation shifts that took place during the translation process.
