Analýza informačního prostředí a informačních zdrojů pro farmaceutické obory

Abstract

Cílem rigorózní práce je popsat a základně analyzovat vybrané databáze a digitální knihovny s obsahovým zaměřením na farmaceutické obory. Úvodní část práce se zabývá související terminologií, navazující kapitoly se pak snaží poukázat na důležité pojmy a principy v prostředí farmaceutického průmyslu, dále představit důležité instituce s vlivem na tuto oblast, respektive poukázat na významné klasifikační systémy a selekční jazyky vyskytující se v některých popisovaných databázích. Šestá kapitola podává přehled o farmaceutických informačních zdrojích v nabídce předních světových databázových center. V sedmé kapitole je popsáno a základně analyzováno 10 významných informačních zdrojů. Osmá kapitola pak představuje vybrané informační zdroje pro komplementární a alternativní medicínu. Empirická část práce zahrnuje obsahové srovnání bibliografických databází MEDLINE, EMBASE a BMČ z hlediska farmaceutických informací a dále pojednání o informačním brokeringu na příkladu aktivit společnosti Medistyl. The aim of the rigorous thesis is to describe and basically analyze representative databases and digital libraries that focus on pharmaceutical disciplines. The introductory chapter is concerned with related terminology, while the following chapters refer to significant concepts and principles in the field of pharmaceutical industry, to important institutions that have an impact on this field, and also to important classification systems and retrieval languages that can be found in some of the described resources. The sixth chapter focuses on pharmaceutical information resources which are offered by some of the world's leading database service companies. The seventh chapter contains a description and a basic analysis of 10 representative electronic resources for pharmaceutical disciplines. The eighth chapter describes representative information resources for complementary and alternative medicine. The empirical section of this diploma thesis consists of a subject coverage analysis of bibliographic databases MEDLINE, EMBASE and BMČ from the viewpoint of pharmaceutical information, and further deals with information brokering that is presented on example of the Medistyl company.
