Integrace muslimů ve Velké Británii na pozadí ,,selhání multikulturalismu"

Abstract

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje zkoumání vztahu mezi integrací muslimských přistěhovalců ve Velké Británii a údajným "selháním multikulturalismu", o kterém hovoří britský premiér David Cameron v rámci svého projevu v roce 2011. Práce je případovou studií a zaměřuje se na analýzu integrační politiky Velké Británie, konkrétně pak muslimských imigrantů. Pojem "selhání multikulturalismu" vyplývá z teze, že neúspěch integrace muslimů souvisí s britským integračním modelem. Tato teze vychází z projevu Davida Camerona o radikalizaci islámského extremismu, který přednesl v roce 2011 na bezpečnostní konferenci v Mnichově. Cílem této práce je zmíněnou tezi potvrdit či vyvrátit. K tomu je využito analýzy tří zvolených kritérií úspěšnosti integrace, kterými jsou mobilita na pracovním trhu, politická participace a oficiální působnost práva šaría ve Velké Británii. Z rozboru vyplývá, že neúspěšnost integrace muslimů nelze zcela potvrdit. Jedním důvodem je fakt, že je nutno rozlišovat oblast působení integrace podle tří rovin - sociálně-ekonomické, občansko-politické a kulturní. Dalším důvodem je samotný výsledek analýzy, že ani jednu rovinu integrace nelze jednoznačně označit jako neúspěšnou. Práce rovněž nabízí nástin diskuze o multikulturalismu a možných příčinách všeobecného mínění, že "multikulturalismus selhal".

This Bachelor thesis discusses the relationship between the integration of Muslim immigrants in Great Britain and alleged ,failure of multiculturalism', of which British prime minister talks about on the occasion of his speech in 2011. The thesis is a case study and it focuses on the analysis of the integration policy of Great Britain, especially aimed on the case of Muslim immigrants. The term 'failure of multiculturalism' results from the proposition that the failure of the integration of Muslims associated with the British model of integration. This proposition is based on David Cameron's speech on radicalization of islamic extremism, presented at the security conference in Munich in 2011. The aim of this work is to confirm or disprove the proposition by using analysis of three chosen indicators of success of integration - mobility in the labour market, political participation and official application of Sharia law in Great Britain. The analysis shows that the failure of Muslim integration cannot be fully confirmed. One reason is the fact that it is necessary to distinguish three areas affected by integration - on socio-economic, civic-political and cultural level.
