Abstract

The presented doctoral dissertation titled "The Vocation of a Woman in the Philosophical and Theological Reflection of Edith Stein" characterizes the development of the anthropological concept of Edith Stein (1891-1942), a philosopher of Jewish origin, and it concentrates particularly on this author's philosophical and theological reflection of a woman. This dissertation intends to comprehend, how Stein defined the mutual relation between philosophy and theology, or rather philosophical and theological anthropology, and how this comprehention showed in the particular stages of her creative work at formulating her anthropological concept. It also focuses on the understanding of the relation between the terms "natural" and "supernatural" in Stein's anthropological concept. The dissertation is devided into seven chapters including the introduction and the conclusion. It works with Stein's texts that were published in the series "Edith Steins Werke" and "Edith Stein Gesamtausgabe". These texts focuse on philosophical and theological anthropology (Chapter 4 and 5) and on theory of upbringing and education (Chapter 6). Předkládaná disertační práce s názvem "Povolání ženy ve filosofické a teologické reflexi Edith Steinové" postihuje vývoj antropologického konceptu filosofky židovského původu Edith Steinové (1891-1942) a zaměřuje se zejména na filosofickou a teologickou reflexi ženy u této autorky. Disertační práce chce pochopit, jak Steinová definovala vzájemný vztah filosofie a teologie, respektive filosofické a teologické antropologie, a jak se toto pochopení projevovalo v jednotlivých fázích jejího tvůrčího díla při formulování antropologického konceptu. Zaměřuje se rovněž na vymezení vzájemného vztahu pojmů "přirozený", "nadpřirozený" v antropologickém konceptu Steinové. Práce je rozdělena do sedmi kapitol včetně úvodu a závěru. Pracuje s texty Steinové, které byly publikovány v řadách "Edith Steins Werke" a "Edith Stein Gesamtausgabe". Jedná se o texty zaměřené na filosofickou a teologickou antropologii (4. a 5. kapitola) a teorii výchovy a vzdělávání (6. kapitola). Autobiografické spisy a dopisy Steinové byly základem pro sestavení jejího životopisu, který je předřazen vlastnímu tématu práce (2. kapitola). Životopis pomáhá pochopit myšlenkový vývoj Steinové.
